Every year in early July, the village of Bundanoon comes alive with a week-long festival that celebrates the joys of the winter season. Bundanoon Winterfest is the Southern Highlands’ principal winter event, helping draw visitors to our beautiful area during the mid-year school holidays. It’s not to be missed. 

The signature event is the Winterfest Opening Night. It’s a family-friendly gathering, where the community comes together to mingle by the light of braziers, to enjoy hearty food and warming drinks, and to have fun with great music and activities for children and grown-ups alike.

Bundanoon Winterfest is more than just a party. Our extensive, week-long workshop and event program has something for everyone: for food lovers and crafters; for active kids and creative ones; for the young and the young at heart—with plenty to do with the kids during the school holidays.

Winterfest brings the local community together – giving people the chance to meet their neighbours, to try new things, provide activities for the kids on their holidays – creating a lively holiday atmosphere in the heart of winter while generating revenue for village businesses.
